Locational Privacy & Geofuzzing
Boop is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. Instead of tracking you in real-time, Boop lets you choose how you want to share your presence:
- Fuzzy Location: Your pin is fuzzed within a random offset. Only general regional location is visible to others, and raw coordinates never leave the server.
- Exact Location: Your pin is placed precisely where your browser coordinates indicate.
- Manual Location: You place your pin manually by clicking on the map.
- Hidden (Go Dark): You are completely hidden from the map and other members.
GDPR Compliance
We process your location data solely to facilitate nearby social connections. No tracking history is kept. You have complete control to wipe all your data using the "Delete My Profile" nuclear button inside your settings.
